From Rain Tanks
to real reach

The Rain Collector isn’t just about installing water tanks. More so an ecological architect, a connector of people to water in ways that are smart, sustainable & site specific.

From boreholes and rain harvesting to solar integrated systems. His work has served schools, homes, farms & underserved communities.

His brand hadn't expanded online — no website, no social — and no real place to showcase the scope & widespread impact.

The Brief —

Translate on-the-ground work into a web presence that felt as modern and purposeful as the systems built. This wasn’t just about aesthetics. It was about giving a water specialist the digital credibility to attract bigger projects & exciting contracts.

The Tension

The Rain Collector had an extraordinary service and track record — but no digital presence to reflect his authority, versatility, or community impact. His work spoke volumes in person. Online?

Silence.

No Existing Brand Identity

Basic logo, no colours, no visuals to build upon

Highly Technical Offering

Needed to communicate terms like first-flush diverter, greywater filtration, and gravity-fed systems in a simple, visual way

Vast Portfolio
Dozens of installs and success stories, but zero documentation or hierarchy

Community & Enterprise Split
Needed to appeal to both large commercial clients and grassroots community initiatives

Common pain points

—

Current logo design didn't work on favicons & social media profile photos

Brand palette was camouflage & blending in, rather than standing out

Overly technical jargon needed explanation

WhatsApp Business needed to be setup & services outlined

Visuals of customer installations needed scheduled photoshoots

No website & hacked & abandoned social accounts

opportunity gaps

Create a modern, bright & brave brand identity

Build a basic website that visually explains services & previous work

Capture and showcase completed projects

Use Instagram to tell the success stories of installs, customers & different services

Make it easy for schools, community leaders, or off grid enthusiasts to get in touch

Resolution

The Rain Collector received a brand evolution, website & content presence designed for both function & flow.

Creating a more minimalist brand identity focusing on topographic lines & shapes with a primary neon yellow colour joining the palette.

The website was designed with easy modular sections. Featured real customer installations as the visual language — tanks in schools, gardens, elevated structures & plots.

On Instagram, launching a carefully structured visual pattern with a gentle & informative tone — part educator, part documentarian — to honour the good work and attract larger collaborations.
